Overview
At Paw Paw Rentals, we don’t just rent equipment—we help people build, fix, and create things that matter.
We’re looking for someone who can run day-to-day operations, demonstrate/repair equipment, and oversee the shop to make sure everything is done right.
This is not a desk job. This is a hands-on leadership role where you lead by example.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be responsible for running the daily operations of the business, including:
- Leading the rental counter and ensuring great customer service
- Managing a small team (counter staff, yard help, and shop coordination)
- Scheduling event deliveries and pickups
- Operating equipment when needed (loading/unloading, demos, yard organization)
- Overseeing the shop workflow to ensure repairs are done correctly and efficiently
- Spot-checking equipment quality and readiness before it goes out
- Handling customer issues and keeping operations running smoothly
This is a player-coach role—you’ll both manage and get your hands dirty.
What We’re Looking For
We don’t care about degrees—we care about capability and experience.
You’re a great fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience with equipment (skid steers, lifts, trailers, etc.)
- Can confidently operate common rental equipment
- Have experience in construction, equipment rental, or the trades
- Have led people before (even a small team)
- Can evaluate whether work is being done correctly in a shop/mechanical and event/party setting
- Take ownership and solve problems without waiting to be told
- Stay organized and keep operations running efficiently
This role requires someone who understands equipment well enough to hold others accountable for quality work.
Schedule & Expectations
- Full-time (40+ hours/week)
- Mondays and Fridays are high-volume days
- Some Saturdays (half day)
- Occasional after-hours response for urgent equipment issues
Compensation
- $60,000 – $70,000 base salary
- Paid time off
- Opportunity to grow with the business
Why This Job Is Different
- You’re not managing from behind a desk—you’re running the operation
- You’ll have real ownership and decision-making authority
- You’ll work directly with ownership to build and improve the business
- Your impact will be visible every day
